Interested to know what your various definitions of "spinning" are. The AWAC rules just say no spinners or treble hooks and hooks barbless and size 8 or smaller.
Would you regard say fishing a rapala lure as spinning? or would spinning only be spinning if done with a spinner. Is a lure like a toby a spinner? and jelly lures etc etc.

A specific rule for No livebaiting would suggest that deadbaiting is ok but is retrieving a deadbait (wobbled) classed as a spinner.

think this will need clarifying with AWAC .

I'll leave AWAC to clarify.

My interpretation would be:-

       'no retrieved lures or deadbaits of any description.'
       'static deadbait with single hook allowed.'

Best forget about AWAC waters for pike fishing and try rivers or Cheshire Meres instead!
