any chance of anyone with alot more knowledge about coarse fishing than me maybe giving a list of species available in the local lakes ,i don't wanna know sizes ,just a bit of a hint on what to target at specific places,just an idea

Good idea Neil
If we can pick a particular fishery that you know well
and make a short list of what is in there.
I will then collate them, here is mine for Yew Tree

the overflow (experience only from what i've caught or seen caught)
perch
roach
rudd
eels
carp
heard rumours of pike but i have lure fished it for years and have yet to even see a follow from one.

There was a rumour of one caught at Moreton Brickworks years ago.
Other than that I suspect that there aren't any on Wirral or even the North West..........unless anyone knows better.
