I also heard that a Police angling club controlled the fishing but that was years ago.
Other than that I haven't heard anyone mention them for thirty years! If you look on Google maps the lakes look very murky which may indicate that they still contain fish. There are some farm buildings near them which must be fairly recent as I don't remember them years ago. |

yeah i did they do look murky too .and where did them buildings come from .i dont recall them either .must look into this a bit more maybe find someone whose in the police angling club ,cheers m8

I had a walk round the lakes about 3 years ago
You can fish from all sides. But there were no established pegs so it would have taken a lot of cash to install them. There was very poor fencing so again a large lump of cash to erect fencing. There was no parking set aside so again cost of laying hardcore for parking There was also a problem with poaching as there was evidence of camp fires and beer cans. And a well trodden path towards the far end of the lake. So there was a health and safety issue (clue Karl) At the time it was rented by someone who was mainly using the land for horses they were going to sub leas the lakes so there was no guaranty of fishing rights if they moved on. I think they just wanted someone to take them on and keep the poachers away as they were causing problems and putting people off stabling there horse there. It would be nice if someone took them over and opened it up again if only so I could fish it again as I spent many days there when I was a kid back in the seventies Does anyone remember the 2 bloody big Alsatians they had They scared the S!!t out of me you would pay you money at the farm house if i remember rightly but they would come round once or twice a day to check you had paid (with the dogs in tow) can’t remember if you got a ticket but I think it was a raffle ticket and again I can’t remember the price as my brother in-law always paid for me but I am sure it was 50 Pence . |

It looks a lot more 'open' than I remember it. Looks like many of the trees and reeds have been removed.

What has this got to do with mollington lakes if you have an issue with PSAC then please contact them and don’t try to hijack another post. Please before you start posting get your facts right. PSAC has got a well established stocking policy Also it is weight and not waits. |

Fishermans Friend has made 18 posts on this forum. Just checked all his post titles & half of them have been a criticism of Port Sunlight.

in reply to your comments why no one would want to be a member of p.s.a.c you r totally wrong on this fact as you r on all posts for p.s.a.c they have no problem with new members wanting to join each year and as for stocking they have a stocking policy as all angling clubs do all you seem to go on about is match weights one can tell you fish nudd holes oops mud holes which angling club r you in ? P.S.A.C. r a big club who have an exciting future ahead of them so less of the negativity all anglers should promote angling in local area as it is angling clubs that attracts the younger generations that carry that club on into the future just look how old the club is

Ya true we should support local Angling clubs as they are the life blood of our hobby and bring on the young ones to take it on when we are dead and buried. |
