margin fishing

hi everyone

it has been a while scince i last posted but i am thinking of going down the edge for a few sessions an try an get some big carp. i have a drennan top kit with a no.16 elastic ...... what baits would go down well at yew tree and if you have any tips please post them .also i would love to hear about your big carp from down the edge!!!

Hi Haydn

Can't say if the top kit would be up to it as I don't fish the pole for "zoo creatures", only tiddler snatching.
I've always had my biggest fish at Yew Tree from the margins.
Any bait that works generally will do, but I must admit that I like fishing with bread, as the bites are always positive.
A big lobworm will sort out the better fish as well.
I always feed a margin swim and only fish it when there is activity there. Clouds of mud, bubbles, swirls etc
