hi..went to larton yesterday the 22nd..had a great day..i started off on the top carp lake and had 3 carp from 3lb to 7lb off the top on floating bread .however by 12 noon the wind had got up and it was impossible to see the bread and they where not taking baits on the deck so moved to the bottom lake on the right hand side as you stand at the gate..i fished the short pole at 5 metres and had dozens of crucians and roach to 1lb on meat and corn ..this really is a great fishery if you are prepared to spend time getting to know the place ..i have been fishing it for 10 years now and have never had a bad day,not sure how it fishes in the winter but i can recommend it .

But there are some quality fish in there.
Like to fish the back pond myself, where there are some fantastic crucians TO ABOUT 21/2ib and some lovely roach to about 2lb. They always seem in top condition as nobody fishes for them. Too busy trying to catch the "monster"carp in there.
Yes it looks like Telly Tubby Land, but when its raining and no one else is out, it is a reasonable place to fish.

when you say back pool, do you mean the original pool by the car park set away from the others? i used to fish the place before the other ponds were created and it was always a great pool.
