fished lingmere friday for the first time , a bit unsure of what to expect as a few lads in work said there was better places to fish than lingmere , but loaded the car and off to lingmere , i have to say what a good choice i made in lingmere , got there about 0800 and met a guy called steve  i told him i had not been here before and he just battered me with info on both lakes , (well impressed ) , the match lake looked a bit windy so opted for other lake , fished with a maggot feeder to the island , size 16 hook and 3 red maggots , and changed to the float for the last 3hrs  fishing high up in the water , couldnt go wrong all day ,numerous chub to 2lb ,tench ,roach ,F1s ,skimmers , throughout the day steve came round and asked how everyone was doing still giving tips and advice ,all in all a top days fishing good breakfast and top advice , you dont get that everywhere , will defo be back

Hi Fran glad you enjoyed Lingmere, next time try the match lake as fish are a bigger average size plus you have barbel(average around 4lb) going up to 9lb. Same tactics you used and the barbel are under your feet
