That's all sorted now Karl , people will have the option at the draw, to fish the match including the golden tench ( roger) or just fish the match , if he's not caught on the day by someone who paid into the GT , it will role over to the next match .  Steve

Hi . Dont think i will get to fish any of the matches being on a sunday but thought i would just comment on the GT "Roger" Roll Over.  Some of the regular  anglers fishing the match might feel a bit a grieved if they  pay £1 each time they fish and if there gets a sizeable pot that it finally gets won by someone who only fishes say the 8th match. If that makes sense. might attract more anglers if it gets to a sizeable pot .Its a nice idea though and adds a little hope for those who pick a poorer peg. if the anglers fishing the match are aware of that then no problem. Suppose its no different to the National lottery Roll over.

Go for it

Big Joe
Been to Damhead today and had a cracking time.  Fished pegs 19 and 20 with the kids and managed to catch 35 fish, mainly carp and a few silvers.  Wouldn't think it was February - weather spot on and hardly any wind!

Made very welcome by Stuart and even got a free cup of coffee.

Great place to fish couldn't fault it.  Good advice from Kevie - thanks very much double maggot and soft pellets was defo the bait for today.  Cheers.

Tight Lines - Big Joe

Apologies Hayden but was already set up when you said about peg 10!!

Re: damhead match

Big Joe
Cheers Kevie and Steve,

Great Day!

We've only just started fishing this year so just looking to improve.

We have been up to Thornton Hough Angling Club and had a chat with them so hopefully will bump into each other at Damhead some time.

Does anyone know how to enter a competition?  I noticed there is one at Damhead later this month and I wouldn't mind having a go! Do you have to be in a club to enter or just turn up.  Will get in touch with Stuart and ask him too!

Cheers Big Joe

Hi Joe
Find out the date and time off their website http://www.damheadfishery.co.uk
Then just turn up, no need to book.
