Hi Neil
Was a member a few years ago
Good waters, well managed but a bit of a bind if you use a trolly

Where are they, Steve? I didn't even know Caldy had an angling club.

As you come down the hill from Caldy Grammar, towards the Caldy roundabout, there's a pond on the left (always loads of geese on it). Is that a fishery, does anyone know?

Hi Neil
Best way to find them, look at Google maps, find Caldy Golf club, and the ponds are on the fields next to it,  inland

This pond is private. There are a couple on the same property hidden behind the leylandi hedge which are full of different ducks. The owners allow fishing to friends only (i am not one). They kindly took in a couple of call ducks i had.

One of the Caldy members usually attends the monthly AWAC meet if you were desperate for info

Hi NeilQ
On the Wirral Fisheries home pageyou will see the heading Angling clubs where you will find the link to contact Caldy Anglers via email.  In the past new members were recommended by existing members but the committee may now discuss/accept new members via the link only.
For general info they have 5 ponds in total, 4 mature & 1 recently desilted and awaiting restocking. As previously mentioned there is quite a walk round the perimeter of a planted field and then two stiles to reach the furthest pond.
regards
Pete

Hi all.
at least 600 metres to first two ponds,
over a stile and 60 metres to 3rd pond,
over a stile and 30 metres to 4th pond
over a stile and 250 metres to 5th pond

all in all quite a hike but good stock levels and well managed.

regards
Pete
