Hello All,
First post, fished my first session of 2011 at Yew Tree yesterday, fished at peg 12 with a pole to the margins & a small method feeder in open water. Very quiet actionwise all around the lake except for a guy on peg 8 who had a dozen good fish using pellets in a PVA bag. Highlight of my day was catching the bigger of the two sturgeons in the lake weighing in at just over 4lbs. What a weird looking fish.
regards
Had that one last week for the second time.
I'm convinced there are more than 2 in there as I've had a smaller one 3 times now, took a picture first time, and when I caught one again it did not look the same.
Beginning to get quite disappointed if I don't get one now.
The bigger one put up a scrap both times I've caught it. The first time it went airborne like a marlin when I hooked it near the island. Second time I had it on a float rod and was half expecting to get smashed as it took off on its first run.
