Yew Tree Mission Accomplished

Hi All,

Decided to give Yew Tree a go this morning with a mission to get one of them Tench that frequent the place.

Showery and windy weather made it uncomfortable, but fished into the face of it on peg 1 a rod length out, and fed every minute with micro pellets and maggots, fished 3 piecies of corn on a size 16 korum quickstop hooklength, then at 11.30, bang! I am into somthing decent. After a brief fight out comes a lovely male Tench, just under 5lb.

Mission Accomplished!!!

The quality of the fish in Yew Tree are second to none.

Packed up and went for a beer to celebrate.

Hi Wend,

Postponed the trip in the van until this weekend, then I am away at Easter to Tewkesbury Abbey for a week.

Will post how the fishing is at Trench Farm.

The Tench really are in good nick, and pull your string.

Had to go for a beer, its my Birthday today!!
