There are a number of pegs on the big lake free from ice and are fish-able
We installed a pump on the small lake to-day spraying water all over the open water
so that should be fish-able as well.

Hi Wend,

Best tip I can impart, is find the deepest part of the swim, fish on the pole for delecate presentation, and watch the float for the slightest movement, you do everything else, in textbook fashion, i.e. feed and exploring the swim

Is it worth shotting the float shirtbutton style, so the bait sinks slowly to the bottom?

Just a thought - I've never fished for Ide.

me and the lad are fishing tomorow ,  , is it worth targeting the carp , ie small boilies or corn . my lad is wanting to give his new gear a go . we have nylon hair rigs , ( smaller sizes . )

Pole, whip or maggot feeder as Wend said
Had a look at it today,lot of movement on the small lake
Carp in the margins on the big lake but very docile
