New Web Site

This post was updated on .
Hi all
I am building a new web site which will be affiliated to Wirral Fisheries
The website will be just a Google map with the location of as many fisheries that can be found.

The area I want to cover is one that is say 1 hours drive from Wirral, north , south or east ( don't think there any west )

I have started with ones on Wirral but I now need your help with all the others in the area

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid=212531507533459981153.0004b1c64db707ab46f6d&msa=0&ll=53.392747,-2.822113&spn=0.216606,0.672226

All the info I need is the name of the fishery, a location and the post code would be very helpful
If you look on the fishery website (if they have one ) that would help

include still water day ticket fisheries, free and day ticket fishing on rivers and canals

Please just reply to this post with any info

Many Thanks
May I just add there 1 or 2 fisheries that do not want there fisheries on the web and there wishes must be honoured

Great idea, Steve.

Are you looking for all kinds of waters (river venues, canals etc) or just stillwaters?

(I haven't clicked on the link yet)

Good point ???
I think it would have to be just still waters, as who control's the rights  of river banks could be differcult
What do you think?

There are several stretches of the Dee which belong to the Duke of Westminster and have always been free fishing.
I think it is worth including them.
Likewise some stretches of the Shroppy are day ticket. If members know for certain that a stretch is day ticket and can provide the details then I see no reason why they can't be included.

The only problem I can see is providing a post code for sat nav directions.

Anyone agree?

Steve, probably a good idea to put some sort of disclaimer at the top of the map stating clearly that the website does its best to keep correct records but accepts no responsibilty etc and that visitors are best checking fishery details before travelling.

Well done. Should be a useful tool for bringing anglers up on to the wirral which can only be good . Noticed Barnacre on the map--is that a day ticket water now?
