Hows it fishing at the moment?

Hi all,

Newbie here 1st post. I've recently got back into fishing after a 20 year break!! I was thinking about going to yew tree this weekend and was wondering how it was fishing at the moment?  Also could you offer up some tips on where and what baits do well. I've been fishing Moreton Mere over the last few weeks and in the last week or so I has really died off, think all the carp have gone on their hols :)

Well I went today. It was a bit slow but I didn't blank :). Started off with a few roach and a tiny perch on a float setup with maggot. Then switched over to a method feeder with 3mm pelletts and a 6mm pellet on a hair rig and bagged 3 carp. 2 of them about 1lb and then got another common on luncheon meat of about 6lb. So all in all it wasn't a bad day I will probably fish there again. Might try some other places before going again
