This post was updated on .
Hi All

I am intending to revamp the home page of Wirral Fisheries website

I need to know if there is any other items you would like to see there or think should be removed

Also any other subjects you would like on the Forum

Any ideas or suggestions will be considered, anything, even the colour

Please try and keep it on the Wirral

I've just had more of a look round on the home page & I think you've got pretty well everything covered, Steve.

Maybe a few additions to the "Beginner's Guide" or maybe generalise it a bit more. We never stop learning & although I'm not a beginner, I've been off the scene for a long time & need to get up to speed with methods, baits etc. I think a tips & tricks section might go down well.

your doing a good job steve and all the posters will help it evolve. Perhaps a section on phone hacking   Maybe a literature suggestion section for the keen reader. There are some excellent books out there that capture the different essences of angling. not the "How to books" as I call them but more the "Why" books.

Hi Steve,

As has already said you are doing a cracking job.

One thing I would like to see (probably best off to go on the forum) would be a bargains thread or similar. If someone sees a bargain pop it on there and spread the love to to speak...

Hope this helps!

How about a fish of the week/fortnight/month competition? (depending on how often people fish?) The fish would obviously need to have been caught at a Wirral fishery to keep with theme of the website.

Doesn't have to be a prize, but bragging rights would be nice, and maybe your photo or fish on the main homepage or something?
Not long been fishing, be gentle! ;)

You'll have no time to go fishing.

Having said that, you go fishing far too much anyway. Totally unfair!

Erm....unfortunately, that would involve bringing a 5 year old granddaughter & an 8 year old very hyperactive granddaughter.

I'd be about as popular as a pork pie at a barmitzvah.

Also would it be possible to have a few more details on the AWAC waters on the home pages from the mini map. Most are within easy reach of people but we don't really have any details on the website, just links to the (useless lol!) wirral website.

Doesnt have to be much just some details of what types of fish are in there, pics etc...

Cheers!

Any photos, directions, stock details etc would have to come from US as nobody else is going to provide them.
So......send them to Steve so that he can compile them.

Re: Help Needed

no worries!

I can only speak of the ones I have fished but what I have posted in the catch reviews is a pretty good cross section of what is in Captains pit and central park...the rest I cant speak for though...

Cheers

Hi Kev,

Not Gweryd but fished Pen y Ffrith just over the hill, had a good morning with Steve a few weeks back, have heard some good reports from Gweryd Lakes, a nesr 5lb Perch was reported in the Angling Times a couple of weeks back that was caught at Gweryd.

Intend to try it next year.
