Fishing on the wirral

Ant
Hi all,
Looking to get out Thursday or Friday now that the weather has warmed up a little, has anyone fished Royden or Captains pit since the big freeze & fish deaths ?, I know Royden was hit hard but what about Captains pit ?, any info on wirral waters would be very much appreciated !.

Driven past the Captain's Pit a few times in the last week, mate. Didn't see anybody fishing at all though. Come to think of it, I've never seen many people fishing there. Is it still a popular place? Never been there myself.

Both suffered large fish kills in the recent bad weather. I've no doubt a few fish have survived but personally I wouldn't bother with either water.
If you wish to fish an AWAC controlled water why not try Birkenhead Park? It lost very few fish in the freeze-up.

Thanks guys,
The reason I ask about both is because I know how they both fish and what worked, pre freeze that is, the father in-law is here and wanted to make sure he caught and got hooked, no punn intended, lol
