Anyone got any tips?
Pretty Please.
Thanks in advance.

Only fished it 3 times (I think it was 3) and from the same peg each time, because I'm a lazy bugger!! Only had time for short sessions though. Had a cracking session each time though.

I picked the peg nearest the gate, next to a tree. I fished light on the pole, switching between 6-7 metres by the lily pads & 10 metres where it dropped into a deeper hole. I was using caster &  loosefeeding hemp on a light rig & caught plenty of skimmers, roach, small carp & quite a few fantailed crucians which were lovely fish. If I switched to maggot, I was plagued with small roach so I persevered with the caster.

Hi,
Been a few times lately. Corn has been sorting out better fish (carp to 10lb) especially at the top end away from the car park. 4mm pellet will get you a bite a chuck, but mainly from bottle top skimmers, with maybe a few better ones and the odd crucian. Fish maggot on your top 3 and you will get quality hybrids, good roach n rudd, and the odd chub, barbel and tench, but keep the mags going in. Good Luck

Had a decent day there Wednesday.
Fished on peg 1 over to the island.
Started off on corn and was getting pestered by small stuff, roach, skimmers and rudd.
Went to double corn and the bites slowed but started getting better fish.
Some nice roach, and hybrids. Then managed a common of about 2lb, few more bits then a mirror of 4 1/2lb.
All caught on corn.
Fished a second sleeper rod with meat on a hair but this kept coming back empty, once with the hair gone! Are there any crays in here?
Switched the sleeper to popped up corn but not a touch all day.
When the sun got high the bigger fish went off so changed to meat without success.
Then went on to small pieces of meat on the pole and caught skimmers and rudd every chuck, but no size to them.
I was fishing in one of the shallower areas, and picked the swim purely to fish close to the island.
Had to leave at about 4 o'clock but am sure the bigger fish would switch back on in the evening.
All in all an enjoyable day at a cracking little fishery.
The abundant lillies have been sprayed so will die off soon, making more pegs fishable, but will, I think detract from the overall look of the place.
It's like one of those ponds you fished as a kid waiting for the owner to come and chase you off.
I will definitely be going back for another crack.

Today I went to Yew Tree at first. Arrived there & it was heaving & decided it wasn't for me. Hotfooted it to Damhead where it was also busy but there was more personal space. I also picked peg 1 as I fancied a few fish rather than sitting it out for carp round the back.

I was greeted by Stuart & made to feel at home straight away. Hats off to you, Sir......you really do make anglers welcome as opposed to some fishery owners who just sit there & take the money.

Because I haven't been fishing for a couple of years, I started off on red maggot, simply to try & get back into it. Plenty of bites right away &  a procession of small roach & skimmers followed. I then got a netter & discovered how big the mouse-eaten hole in my landing net really was. Stuart to the rescue thankfully, with a spare net!

I'd been drip feeding corn under a bush all morning & after a couple of hours, I switched to corn & didn't get a touch for an hour. Back to the maggot as I'd rather catch small fish than no fish & sure enough, the swim switched back on. A couple of small tench followed, some better skimmers and a decent roach around half a pound.

All in all, an enjoyable 6 hours & for anyone who hasn't tried Damhead, give it a go. Comfortable fishing, plenty of fish & a very welcoming host,

Link to the site there mate.

I've just been on the website and it would appear that you need to pre-book your pegs, is this correct or can you just show up, book in, pay and start fishing?

Cheers!
