Bad experience at larton

Phoned larton to see how it was fishing and wether it had frozen over at all throughout winter. was informed it was fine and fishable and was not frozen over infact hasnt frozen over once.
Gathered money together, (times being hard in the recession) managed to get fuel bait etc, travelled down and found that everyone of the ponds were frozen over (thick ice) the ducks were sliding all over it.

Went to make a complaint to the staff about misinformation to be informed .."its ok itll thaw in a few hours" and i said i wasnt prepared to wait for two to three hours hoping it was gonna thaw, to be then told well smash the ice yourself and then fish ( baring in mind i explained im  disabled and my condition will not let me do anything like that) to be retold "its not that thick m8 just make a hole and fish in that" i was extremely frustrated at the fact they wanted me to hurt myself and endanger myself at the same time still charge me the fishing fee. they werent prepared to help me in any way shape of form. srry for the rant but my confidence in this place has dropped significantly.

I would have thought that fisheries would be only to happy to see anglers this time of year
I think your experience was down to talking to one of the staff and not the fishery owner
Your post copied to the owner via there website/contact may do some good
but with so many fisheries on the Wirral I would vote with my feet and go else where

is it still the same fella who owns the place, from when it first opened, always was a money hungry bugger. haven't fished it in must be 12 years.

Yes m8 bill I think his name is. I wouldn't of minded.much but the attitude towards me when I questioned misinformation was not called for bud. I'm going to stick to fishing and making my reviews and videos at yew tree and Claremont from on .I love the helpfulness at yewtree and felt comfortable. Sad thing is I was asked to make videos and reviews for larton last year which I did happily. I'd quite happily do videos and reviews  for yewtree instead if that was ok with the owner. It's something I like doing lol.
