Are the Rumours true?

Hi all! Happy New Year to you all!!! sorry its been so long since my last post but its been a very busy period for my of late with the Birth of my gawjus Daughter Eva .

I am writing to see if what i have heard really is true. I heard that there is mean't to be a new fishery in Meols or that way that apparently was an old farm and is being transformed. Also heard he mean't be having about 6 ponds with one of them holding Carp upto 30lb.... Usually i would of slapped him with a roach and told him to reel his neck in. But i have heard it a few times off different Anglers....Just seeing if anyone here knows anything......

Glad to see that everyone is doing ok and still enjoying their fishing :D

Meols, well there is Parkfield Farm which you know about but only 1 lake

Or there is the old quarry on the Meols stretch which belongs to AK Angling Moreton, this is more likely to be the one as a lot of the carp from Burton Mere went in there and is suppose to be opening sometime this year

Was speaking to the guys in AK Angling a couple of months ago, and they said that they are hoping to be opening up a new fishery. It is on the Meols /Moreton road near to Greenfields kennels.
From what they said it was going to be a big place, with tackle shop etc. Said they had fished it a few times and had been getting some good results.

the waters owned by ak angling my mate has fished it claims it is a good place and i have heard that there is or going to be some big cat fish in there as well and congratulations on the new arrival hope this is of some help tight lines

Thanks for reply guys :D, if it is part of AK does that mean i will need to become a member or something or is it likely to be a Day Ticket Venue? have checked under Tackle-Shop tab but it is one that has no website at present.

AK Angling have not released any info about how they will run the fishery.
I've been told it is two pools.

We'll just have to wait and see if the planning issues which have prevented its' opening for the last couple of years are resolved.

Hello all, was browsing the forum and read this post and had to join and post something! I was told by ak angling that they are awaiting the correct permissions to open the venue up. A lot of the burton mere fish did go in there and there are cats in there now I am lead to believe. I was shown the plans and it looks very promising. I heard a rumour ting tong was there filming for sky sports but not sure on that one lol

[AK ANGLING CENTRE]

Hi guys. Thank you for the interest in our fishery. We thought you would like to hear it straight from the horses mouth so here goes. We are currently in the process of developing the complex and we aim to have four lakes open to the public by late this year or early next year. Lake 1 will be a 12 acre specimen lake holding a large head of big carp and catfish. Lake 2 will be a 2-3 acre pleasure lake holding a large variety of mixed species. Lake 3 will be a 2-3 acre smaller specimen lake holding a small number of large specimen carp. Lake 4 will be a small beginners lake for juniors and alike. The biggest carp we currently stock is a 37lb mirror and the biggest catfish weighs in at 46lb. We look forward to seeing you all soon. Call in the shop for any further details.
