So i figured the day is today and iwill see how my new gear does with a little 3 hour spell of fishing.Arrived to find that there is still ice on top in some parts and its still strong enough to have Geese walking across it, where the Oxgenators had been turned on there was breaks in the ice which allowed me to fish. Well i say fish, it was more sitting and watching a plastic tube floating upwards. Not a sniff!

:( had me a bummer! but atleast i heard the great news of Hodgeson getting the boot :D

so where did ya go Baldie? i am quite interest to find out how the barbel has gotten on in the lower park, if they survived and how much they have grown etc.

Hi Mate,

Went to Lower Ridge, gate locked!!, so had a drive around, Chester Lakes now free from ice and the Cafe is back open, (Cracking Breakfast), the new owner of Ruddy Pond was having a Knock up with some of his mates on the large pond, some carp coming out, but the small pond has had a massive fish loss, sad to see 6lb carp dead under the Ice.

Just hope it gets a bit warmer this week.
